CarbonRem
Digital MRV for carbon removal

Make every tonne count.

CarbonRem builds CDRscope, software that turns a direct air capture plant's gross capture into verified net removal that buyers and verifiers can trust.

Captured isn't the same as removed.

Running a capture plant takes energy, sorbents, transport and maintenance, and each one emits CO2. The climate benefit is what's left after all of it is counted, and today that's mostly reconciled in spreadsheets, months after the fact.

94%net removal for solid sorbent capture on geothermal power
61%net removal for liquid solvent capture on an average US grid
84%of lifecycle emissions came from energy in the grid-powered case

Modelled with literature-based parameters in CDRscope's prototype.

CDRscope

One record from sensor to credit.

The carbon calculation stays transparent and auditable. AI flags problems. It never decides the number.

Net removal accounting

Subtracts lifecycle emissions from every batch, so each reported tonne is a net tonne.

In prototype

Data integrity checks

Models of expected plant performance flag sensor drift, gaps and readings that don't add up.

In development

Audit-ready evidence

Traces every tonne from raw input to final figure, with uncertainty, ready for verification.

See the gap for yourself.

Pick a capture technology and a power source to see how much of 1,000 tonnes captured is actually removed.

About

Where engineering meets audit.

CarbonRem Technologies Limited was founded by Ibrahim Oyedele, an energy engineer with a First Class MSc in Energy Studies from the University of Ibadan. He brings hands-on experience from industrial gas production and from security engineering, where audit trails and data integrity are the job.

CDRscope began as his MSc research and is now being developed toward live facility pilots.

Pilot partners wanted

Run a DAC plant or verify one? Let's talk.

We're looking for partners to test CDRscope on real operating data. Researchers, verifiers and funders are welcome too.
